Synergy have existed, in some form or another for roughly a year now. Zoltan and Myztik have been the glue which has held this team together over many dramas and downfalls. I caught up with these two charismatic gentlemen, who talked me through their team’s highpoints and low points, kfc’s and pickups, and anything else which happened to graze their mind at the time.

Well what a jam packed day of gaming we had at GenCon, speaking on behalf of the admin team we can say that in the end it was overall an enjoyable day filled with great memories and stories, and although there were hitches and problems the day worked well…Bring on gencon09!

There is a certain number of clans who can really step up and take home the big money, with plenty of QLD talent mixed with interstate teams we could see some of the most nail-biting games even in the quarter finals. Just as exciting for the lower ranked teams is how close the standard between teams ranked 9 and above and above seems to be through past LANs, they will have ample opportunity to show they are either looking to make the move up to the next step, or if they are falling behind in the race for glory.

The day is almost upon us, the scene will be the Brisbane exhibition and entertainment center, a large and beautiful center fit with stadiums, conference halls and the best in lobby dining. It will play it’s part in hosting one of the largest CSS LANs to hit Queensland since the AINC qualifiers of 07’ and the WCG Harvey Norman event hosted in 06’. This coming Saturday the halls will be filled with gamers, ranging from the too young to know what alcohol is, to the too young to drink and to the already drunk.

Things just dont get any bigger for QLDCSS! Our regular $500 competitions pale into insignificance against this event! An international event coming to Brisbane incorporating live action role playing, board games, miniature war games, tabletop role playing games, tournaments a plenty and for the first time in Australia computer & gaming console competitions. They may also expecting a few celebrity appearances!
Gen Con™ is a 4-day gaming convention which started in the USA ......
